Cold is an understatement

When you can't feel your nose, fingers and toes
When your eyelid starts to stick together
When you thought your ear just fell off
When you spent much more time to put 4 layers of clothings on
Cold is an understatement.

Real feel (+wind chill) -29 Celcius
That is how cruel Wisconsin winter can get.

Everyone looks like a Michelin man

note to those that are coming: be prepared :)

nonetheless, the snow is beautiful

Madison people jumping @ Milwaukee

Five Madison folks got lost and ended up in Milwaukee last Saturday.
As a result, all of them had to crash at my small comfy studio.

Being mr.nice-guy, I brought them to several places - lakeside, mayfair and the east side tea house.

They were overjoyed and was jumping around due to the beauty of Milwaukee city.

I hope you all enjoy yourself during the trip :p

Everything turns cold

I do realize that I haven't been blogging for so long. Thanks to those that still visit my blog :)
I've so many things to blog about but due to my laziness, I never really make time for it.

2nd semester in US has been good so far. Everything went smoothly and I do enjoy my life right now. The place I'm staying, bunch of good friends, etc.. I really like my studio. Although most of the time, I'm having hard time to keep it tidy, it really has the "homely" feeling for me. I'll post up some photos of my place one of these days.

and, of course there were up and down moments. But I guess, that's life. There are so many things that we're not able to control. Certain things just don't go the way we expect it to be.
For that, we got to try to live our best with it.

For example, the weather has been cruel to me recently. Cold and windy. Although it is supposed to be Fall only, this week temperature is around 0 to 5 celcius; and continuously decreasing. One fact I know for sure, it is going to be extremely cold soon! (As in -10 to -20)!
but, I'm really looking forward to the first snow.. I bet it is going to be beautiful :D

Some random photos I took around Marquette campus yesterday.

Beautiful right?

Often, due to my daily routine and "busy-ness", I forgot to stop and count the blessings I had. But when I chose to stop and appreciate things around me, I realize that there are so many beautiful things in life that I should be thankful for.

And of course, David's menu for cold day,
a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup :)
It actually tasted pretty good and I'm proud of it. XD

Isaiah 40

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

*Ding dong*

A few quick updates since I'm so lazy to blog.

First of all, I just got back from a short trip to KL/subang. It was fun. Meet up with tons of people, play some dota, ate pork noodle and uncle seng noodle; did some shopping, etc.... I also got myself a new laptop :D Got it at a very reasonable price. Hopefully it can sustain long enough till I graduate. haha..

Also, few friends and I went to KLIA to send off Soung Rong. This buff man is going to a farmland at Iowa. *lol* Hope you are surviving well there. haha. The highlight of this event is nonetheless when he "burst" into tears XD (I'll see you at Chicago alright) haha

Lastly, I'm heading back to the cheeseland(wisconsin) again. Few more days. I'm feeling heavy-hearted to leave Msia after this long holiday. Partly, I'm getting lazy; but the real reason is that there is so much things over here that I'm going to miss. However, I know that it's time to move on! Part of me, is really excited to go back!

I know I promised a few people to blog about my Laos trip; but I already lost the "blogging passion". Really lazy to blog about it. I have tons of pictures though. Maybe I'll tell you all personally about the trip if I see you all anytime soon :D But the trip there did make a big impact on me. definitely.

This blog post looks so dreadful. I want to upload some photos but the photos are in my old laptop. Too lazy.

My blog is definitely going to be much more active when I'm in US :D
That's all for now

p.s. I know tons of you are heading to US. Wishes you all the best over there. Hope you all can earn some dollars and bring back to Msia. Those that still in ADP, have fun with Ms.J*nice and Mr.G*na- I'm sure you all will.
